The Georgia SBDC Network provides low cost training and free consulting services including assistance with business plan development, market analysis and marketing strategies, financial analysis, compliance and legal issues, and preparation of loan submissions for individuals who want to start their own businesses or expand an existing one.


Ron E. Simmons

Prior to joining the SBDC in 1990, Mr. Simmons was in Retail Site development, divestment, and management for British Petroleum, in Atlanta, GA, Pittsburgh, PA, and Cleveland, OH. He was also District Sales Manager for Stone Construction Equipment, Inc., for the southeastern United States. He was the District Sales Manager and representative for Kennametal, Inc. for a ten state area after working in industrial management with Milliken Companies, Inc. Mr. Simmons received the ASBDC Star Performer Award in 1999 for excellence in consulting activity.  His areas of interest include retail management and theft prevention, marketing and sales training, as well as human resource planning and management. Organizational behavior and strategic planning for growth are areas of particular interest to him.

Randy Donaldson

Mr. Donaldson joined the SBDC after a successful 34-year career in financial management with large multi-national corporations in Atlanta. He began his career at Oxford Industries, Inc. as a Staff Accountant and moved up through the ranks as Corporate Accounting Manager and Tax Manager. Most recently, Mr. Donaldson was the Tax Director and Treasurer for Lanier Worldwide, Inc., an international office equipment distributor and subsidiary of Ricoh Company Ltd. (Japan). With his extensive corporate background, he has a particular interest in QuickBooks accounting software consulting as well as financial analysis and business management.



Jeff provided an educational experience I will carry with me for years to come. If it had not been for his efforts in the classroom and the field, I would not be where I am today.
