Digital Marketing is not just about bringing traffic...it’s about bringing customers!

The Georgia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Digital Marketing Boot Camp is designed specifically for small business owners who want to learn to integrate technology and marketing in the digital space to increase profits and gain customers.

In this full day interactive sessions taught by Georgia SBDC digital marketing experts, you will learn to:

  • Optimize your website and make search engines work for your business.

  • Use social media to cultivate brand ambassadors

  • Get your business online securely

  • Look into the future and examine the powerful applications made possible by broadband technology

  • Tap into the mobile marketplace

  • Understand and navigate the world of paid online advertising

  • Use photos and video to promote your products and educate your customers

 

The program includes a combination of general sessions and concurrent break-out sessions. This powerful lineup covers marketing tactics you can use today as well as help in developing a strategy to harness the power of broadband.

Alisa Kirk

Alisa Kirk is the Area Director with the Clayton State University SBDC. Alisa’s background includes experience working with the federal and state governments and small and large businesses in management, budgeting, and database management. At the SBDC, Alisa works to help businesses grow and improve their financial health through revenue projections and financial analysis. She uses break-even and return-on-investment analyses to help business owners make more informed decisions. Alisa also specializes in green business. She can help a business improve its bottom line through energy and resource optimization, process analysis, and environmental plan strategy, and knows that developing a viable environmental strategy can open up new contracting opportunities for business and reduce regulatory risk.


Judiffier Pearson

Business Consultant at Clayton State University SBDC

Judiffier Pearson brings over 14 years of entrepreneurial expertise to the SBDC as the owner of two metro-Atlanta salons and a multimedia training/ consulting firm. She began her career as a consultant and trainer by developing specialized business education programs for salons, manufacturers, and distributors in the professional beauty industry. Additionally, she has authored three books on business modeling, practice management, and financial analyses for salon and spa owners. Judiffier learned the art of multimedia marketing and storytelling while working behind-the-scenes of print, television, video and stage productions in many capacities, including producer, creative director, and key hair/makeup artist. As an SBDC consultant, Judiffier adapts and transfers these skills to help business owners craft their own corporate stories, build authentic brands and execute winning marketing strategies for their target audiences.

Program Coordinator at Clayton State University SBDC

Heather Chaney helps new entrepreneurs by providing them basic business information, from the center's current program offerings to sample business plans. Ms. Chaney teaches the center's monthly Starting a Business workshop to aspiring entrepreneurs and helps them start with a solid foundation. As a former small business owner, she understands the hurdles entrepreneurs face and alleviates their fears during the workshop by teaching them the importance of planning and proper business financing. Ms. Chaney assists with program planning, development, marketing, and execution. She is the first point of contact at the center and conducts introductory meetings with clients.

I thought I was doing great, having written a four-page business plan. But it was a joke. After (SBDC consultant) Carol (McDonell) finished advising me, I ended up with a 45-page plan.
