The Applied Research Division manages the following databases for The University of Georgia SDBC:
ESRI Business Analyst Online – Includes pre-formatted reports to help you do smart site selection, customer profiling, and competition analysis. The reports are based on thousands of data variables ranging from demographics and census to consumer spending and employment data as well as traffic counts.
ReferenceUSA – Access to data to more than 24 million businesses, 262 million consumers, new businesses and home owners and movers.
IBISWorld – Comprehensive, astute and easy to digest, IBISWorld’s industry research reports offer the very latest content on every U.S. industry. Over 700 industries available. Each report consists of 30 to 40 pages of key statistics and analysis on market characteristics, operating conditions, current and forecast performance, major industry participants and more.
RMA – Financial Ratios Benchmarks – Comprehensive, detailed data on over 778 industries—derived directly from financial statements. The standard for financial statement comparative analysis is here. Built around balance sheet and income statement performance measures, these industry reports give you the foundation for understanding the typical companies operating in a particular industry, as well as the basis for comparing specific situations to an industry composite. Industry Default Probabilities and Cash Flow Measures – Representing a major content expansion of the Annual Statement Studies, Industry Default Probabilities and Cash Flow Measures contains probability of default estimates, cash flow measures, and change in financial position information for more than 700 industries. It brings together the power of Moody’s RiskCalc Plus for private companies and the Statement Studies database to provide distribution statistics on one-year and five-year expected default frequency estimates by industry. These benchmarks add substantial value to the critical analysis of cash flow for private companies.
Applied Research also does internet research looking for other data based on the client’s needs.
