Doing Business with State and Local Governments

Description

Conducting business with state and local governments is a viable means of developing your public sector procurement efforts.  State governments often include similar agencies as federal departments and may include state agencies as the Secretary of State, the Department of Economic Development, Department of Revenue, Department of Transportation and others.  Local governments consists of cities, counties, hospitals, school systems, transit authorities and other local public operations.  This sessions will show you how to identify and register with various local governments, determine your National Institute of Government Purchasing (NIGP) codes, general preferences offered by some state and local governments and other factors.
