Customers are the life blood of any business and owners sometimes forget to say “thank you” on a regular basis. You may have several customers that have been with you since you first opened your doors. When was the last time you reached out and sincerely thanked them for their support of your business? With Thanksgiving approaching this week, my thoughts turn to gratitude.

What I am proposing is to take a minute, get a nice card, and write a sincere note of thanks to your customers. Too many to count? An email to each, thanking them for their support and wishing them a happy Thanksgiving is fine as well. You may think that with the holidays around the corner “I will send a card then.” Why get lost in the rush of other cards or notes once the holidays are upon us? This is a great way to stand out in the crowd. Even if they don’t receive it this week, it will be waiting for them when they return on Monday. What a nice way to start off their week with a sincere thank you from you.

We all need to take time out of our hectic schedules to relax, count our blessings and be grateful for the people that support us. We, at The University of Georgia SBDC are grateful for all of our clients. Thank you!
