LeadSMART

Description

Did you know you have more than one credit score?  When and how does a lender use each of your credit scores to assess your credit worthiness?  Do you know the difference between the terms, FICO, FairIsaac, BNI, Beacon and Pinnacle, Global Cash Flow, Debt to Income Ratio and Debt Service Coverage Ratio? Will you have business funding needs in 2017, 2018 or beyond? How will personal purchasing decisions you make today impact your ability to obtain a business loan within the next 12 to 24 months?

The University of Georgia SBDC and Kinetic Credit Union will have a one day course under the umbrella of LeadSmart Finance, designed to strengthen business owners/entrepreneurs seeking to obtain funding in the next one to two years and beyond.  The focus of the course is to provide insight into the current process used by lenders for obtaining credit scores and how these credit scores are used in the funding process.  The course will also explore how purchasing decisions a business owner makes on the personal side can impact their ability to obtain a loan on the business side.

Everyday each of us hear of the multiple incidents of cyber attacks hitting businesses around the country. Whether the attacks are criminal in nature, initiated through state actors, or from a lone hacker sitting at their computer, they each can have a devastating effect on a small business.

#CyberStrength 2019 will explore and challenge the business owner/IT professional to prepare and strengthen their cybersecurity plan using the compliance requirements under NIST SP 800-171, Rev. 1 as a guide. Whether a government contractor or involved within a supply chain environment, this training will better position your company to take advantage of the opportunities provided by having a strong cybersecurity posture.

- Increase your ability to secure Federal/DOD contracts in FY 2019 and beyond by understanding the compliance requirements (NIST SP 800-171, Rev. 1) triggered by DFARS 252.204-7012.
