The UGA SBDC’s 2018 Small Business and Its Impact on Georgia publication was named a Hermes Creative Award “Gold Winner,” which is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, one of the largest, oldest and most respected evaluators of creative work in the marketing and communication industry.

The publication achieved Gold status in the categories of Print Publications – Annual Report – Special Topic and Print Publications – Annual Report – Education.

The Hermes Creative Award is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials, marketing and communication programs, and emerging technologies. The competition has 200 categories and over 6,000 entries yearly. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, graphic design shops, production companies, web and digital creators and freelancers.

According to the Hermes Creative Award team, the competition has grown into one of the largest of its kind in the world.

Other winners of the Gold Hermes Creative Award include companies and organizations such as UPS, AARP, Academy Sports, University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Wake Forest University, Villanova University, AIG, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carmax, Cuisinart, PepsiCo, and more.
