UGA Small Business Saturday

TAKE A SELFIE ON NOV. 25 AT YOUR FAVORITE LOCAL BUSINESS AND USE #UGASHOPSSMALL FOR A CHANCE TO BE FEATURED ON OUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS.

What is Small Business Saturday?  The concept was popularized by American Express which began promotion of the Saturday after Thanksgiving as Small Business Saturday in 2010.  American Express uses the day to encourage patronage of small businesses that accept their credit card.

Support for Small Business Saturday has steadily grown over the years, and our funding partner, the U.S. Small Business Administration, as well as our national association of Small Business Development Centers (America’s SBDC) are recognized advocates for Small Business Saturday.  Last year on this day an estimated $14.3 billion was spent at small, independent businesses, signifying America’s acclaim of a new holiday tradition!

Now it’s your turn to inspire your customers to shop small!
