Shantia is the administrative associate for the Albany office. She is a graduate of Grantham University Online, with an AAS in Criminal Justice. Nema Etheridge

Nema joined the UGA SBDC in 2021 with more than 15 years’ experience working with Georgia small businesses. Prior to joining the SBDC, she served as the marketing director for a Georgia-based coffee company that serves customers in wholesale, e-commerce and brick-and-mortar settings. She has worked in a variety of roles in small business, gaining experience in branding, communications, digital marketing, restaurant hospitality and management, sales, and strategic planning. She is a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier Atlanta, is fluent in French and speaks conversational Spanish.

Susan Paz McBrayer

Susan brings a powerhouse set of skills to the SBDC team, including over 20 years of banking experience. She most recently served as a Branch Manager for Ameris in Tifton, GA. She was very involved with the PPP Project at Ameris and helped clients secure over $80 million in funding during this time.   Susan is a first-generation Cuban American who is bilingual in Spanish and English. She is very involved in her local community serving on the Tifton Merchant Association, the United Way of South Central Georgia, and the Alzheimer’s Walk Committee for Tifton.

Rob Martin

Rob  Martin is Area Director of the UGA SBDC in Albany.  Previously, he worked for multiple large corporations and brings with him a rich background of leadership experiences ranging from manufacturing, sales and distribution, to hospitality, culinary and operations management. He is recognized as a leader that loves to grow business and people to help them reach their full potential. These previous experiences have equipped Rob with the ability to educate clients through a multitude of challenges and strategic changes needed in today's marketplace. His areas of expertise include marketing, retail strategy, financial forecasting, human resources and strategic planning. One of Rob's major forte's is the ability to help educate leaders and teams on how to "connect the dots" using innovation and communication.
