Thomas Credle

Prior to joining the SBDC, Thomas worked across several industries, bringing 15 years of combined business and academic experience. He has an extensive background in banking and finance, having served as a retail banking manager, credit analyst, commercial underwriter, commercial lender, business services manager and vice president of commercial lending. Furthermore, he has experience working with several different types of lending intuitions, including local, regional and national banks as well as credit unions.   Thomas also worked as the CFO of a multi-state hotel developer and operator. He has experience with multiple types of capital ranging from debt, mezzanine, private equity, municipal bond, and nonrecourse financing and securitization. Thomas brings experience in IT having worked on the development of financial payment software for clients such as Capital One and Bank of America.   Finally, Thomas served on the faculty of Chattahoochee Valley Community College as an instructor. He remains active in the Columbus community having served on numerous boards of directors for local companies, not for profits, and civic organizations.

Todd Carlisle

Prior to joining the UGA SBDC, Todd worked in the areas of banking and logistics. During his four year banking tenure, Todd worked at Columbus Bank and Trust in various capacities, including underwriting, branch management and lending. He also spent several years as a logistics manager for Wal-Mart Stores. During his time at Wal-Mart, Todd managed the day-to-day operations of various departments and provided support to other facilities in the areas of alternate training, coaching, and production techniques.

Deborah Free

Deborah Free Often the first point of contact, Deborah’s goal is providing clients with information exercising optimum customer service and enriching their experience to create a comfortable business environment.  As an Administrative Assistant, Deborah provides day-to-day staff support for the UGA SBDC Office in Columbus and takes delight in seeing the office running smoothly.   Her other areas of responsibilities are marketing and coordinating UGA SBDC events through multiple social media platforms as well as traditional methods of publicity. Her duties include preparing promotional materials for seminars, workshops and other training programs; registrations and retaining event files.   Previous to her employment at UGA SBDC, Deborah worked for the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce in the Small Business Development and Governmental Affairs Department as a member of the support staff. She served as a team member with other companies including Aflac, Oak and Pine Manor Nursing and Revlon, where she has gained extensive experience in the human resources, sales, administrative support and customer service.
