Jason Bitar has over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and small business owner in the food service, business consulting and real estate industries. Prior to joining the UGA SBDC, Jason developed, built, managed and sold restaurants.   With his experience consulting and mentoring small business owners, Jason has developed deep knowledge and commitment to helping entrepreneurs bring their ideas to market. He understands their concerns, relates to their frustrations and admires their determination.   Jason's areas of expertise include concept development, brand design, product innovation and development, planning and marketing strategies, location selection, store design and construction, franchising, and executive mentoring. He is fluent in English, Arabic and French.

Helen Sutherland

Helen Sutherland Helen has been with the UGA SBDC of Gwinnett for 20 years. Prior to joining the UGA SBDC, she worked in various roles ranging from inventory control and retail support to office administration.   Helen serves as the administrative assistant for the UGA SBDC in Gwinnett. She provides day-to-day staff support and takes great pride in having the office run smoothly. Helen is the first point of contact for clients and resource partners – she ensures that all inquiries are either satisfied or directed to the appropriate internal resource.   In addition to providing scheduling and administrative support – Helen also provides assistance with the recruitment for and execution of all UGA SBDC in Gwinnett seminars, continuing education classes and special events at the center.

Glenn Kruse brings over 30 years of management experience including executive management in large and start-up companies. Prior to joining UGA SBDC in Gwinnett, Glenn was an account executive with Bearcom Wireless, where he was responsible for developing a new customer base from prospects in the Atlanta market. His areas of specialization are business and market development, program management, strategic account planning and general management.   Glenn has worked in small businesses that focused on site leasing, Wi-Fi ‘HotSpots’, corporate network management and accounting software solutions.
