Jessica White

Jessica White brings a rich background of sales, marketing and technology experience to the UGA SBDC in Macon.  Though a lifelong resident of the middle Georgia area, Jessica spent over 12 years consulting with small and mid-size businesses throughout the rural areas of middle and south Georgia to the metropolitan territories of Atlanta and Charlotte.   After obtaining her degree from Macon State College, Jessica launched a successful career in radio advertising with Cumulus Media. She then expanded into award-winning sales consulting roles, receiving world-class sales training from several Fortune 500 companies, including American Express, Morgan Stanley and Automatic Data Processing. She later earned her MBA from Georgia College & State University and joined the UGA SBDC immediately thereafter.   Today, Jessica embraces her Business Consultant role with the mission of combining her expertise with the SBDC’s wealth of training and resources in a way that empowers both existing and start-up businesses to thrive and effectively compete in an ever-changing market.

Lisa worked in Human Resources for a manufacturing facility prior to joining the Small Business Development Center. Peter Williams

Prior to joining the SBDC in 2013, Peter Williams owned and operated a corporate finance consulting firm for 11 years, advising business owners on mergers and acquisitions, business valuation, and capital formation and allocation. His firm was selected as a strategic partner to one of the largest networks of independent accounting firms in the world and maintained that distinction for five years.   Pete previously served as Chief Financial Officer of an Internet start-up, a principal of a private equity investment firm, and an analyst and manager in the investment management divisions of two insurance companies. He also has served as an adjunct instructor at Georgia Perimeter College.   His consulting and investment experience includes companies engaged in manufacturing, distribution, retail, commercial and consumer finance, consumer products, food processing, homebuilding, and media. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has served as a Director of manufacturing and publishing companies.   Pete’s areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions; business planning and valuations; corporate financial management and business case analysis; capital formation, allocation, and return analysis; and referral-based marketing.

Trudy Lawrence
