Prior to joining the SBDC, Guillermo worked 5 years in the Organization of American States in Washington DC coordinating efforts to provide the IT tools that the organization required. At SBDC, Guillermo is the lead developer in charge of the design, develop and maintenance of the mission-critical applications the SBDC relies on for its day-to-day operations and decision-making process. In 2015, Guillermo was named Support Start of the year. In 2017, the SBDC IT department remove all on-premise services and move its operations to the cloud. Guillermo adapted all the internal applications to run at their best in the cloud using managed services for data storage, running environments, telemetry, and orchestration. In 2020, Guillermo was a key player as the integrator of the new PSO registration system with the SBDC internal systems to support continuity to the CE process.
