Minority Business Development, Program Coordinator
Sumner joined the SDBC team in December of 2020 as the Program Coordinator for the Minority Business Division. She received her Bachelor’s degrees in English and Psychology from the University of West Georgia and later on received a Master of Environmental Planning and Design from the University of Georgia. With a passion for mission-based work, Sumner served as the Program Coordinator for local environmental education organization, Gwinnett Clean & Beautiful, for five years. During that time, she also worked on building up her own business as a Stress Management Coach. Through this experience, she learned how difficult it can be to start a business. As part of the SBDC, she looks forward to using her skills of coordination and organization to serve other business leaders as they grow their businesses.
