You’ve started a new business and want to launch it to the world but haven’t yet landed your first client. The first step to winning over that first customer is to establish that you are an expert in your field. Here are four things you can start doing today to increase your credibility:
- Online Image | Make sure your website is fresh and professional. One of the worst things you can do upon meeting a prospective customer is to point them to a website that is not up to par. Get your brand on point before you push people to your website.

- Experience | You clearly have some experience in the business you have started. So, make sure your audience knows that! Highlight what you have done in the past; this will show that you are an expert in your field. Put this section on your “About” page on your website.

Reviews | Even though you haven’t had your first customer you can still obtain customer reviews! One way is to offer a discount to your first 3-6 customers for their honest reviews of your services.
