The UGA Small Business Development Center, UGA Extension, and the UGA College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences announces a partnership to bring the Georgia Farm Business Education Conference to Tifton, Georgia. This Conference is open to all of Georgia and surrounding states.

The Georgia Farm Business Education Conference is designed for growers and producers who are ready to take their agricultural operation to the next level. Participants will be allowed to select topics that matter most to them and the growth of their agribusiness. Successful growers and producers are first and foremost business people. Conference participants will take home a better understanding of business concepts that can be applied to any agricultural operation.

“Now, more than ever, growers and producers need to ensure they have implemented good business practices into their operation,” says Heather Sharpe, business consultant for the UGA SBDC and a member of the planning committee for the program. “For so  many agricultural operators, especially those from multi-generational operations – this is a lifestyle. But it is also a business, and we want to help provide them with the tools to make sound business decisions so they can continue with the lifestyle they love.”

The conference will be held at the UGA Tifton Conference Center on February 27, 2019 from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
